1. Introduction

These days, kids often start with tablets, but it’s important they also learn to use a mouse as part of their digital skills. That’s why we created the Clevy Kids Mouse: a mouse that’s fun, ergonomic, and easy to use!

5. Troubleshooting

  1. Check the USB Connection • Ensure the USB plug is fully inserted into the USB port. Try a different USB port if the current one doesn’t work.
  2. Inspect and Clean the Mouse Sensor • Look under the mouse and clean the optical sensor (the red light at the bottom side on the mouse). Dust or small objects can block the sensor, causing it to stop working. • Use a soft, dry cloth or a cotton swab to clean around the sensor and the mouse feet.
  3. Restart the Computer • Sometimes the issue might be with the computer itself. Restart the computer and see if the mouse begins to work after rebooting.
  4. Check for Physical Damage • Inspect the cable (for wired mice) to see if it’s damaged or frayed. • Check the mouse body for any visible damage like cracks or broken buttons.
  5. Test on Another Device • Plug the mouse into a different computer or laptop to see if it works. If it doesn’t work on another device, the mouse may be faulty and require replacement.
  6. Replace the Mouse •  If the mouse remains unresponsive after following the troubleshooting steps above, it might need to be replaced, especially if there is visible damage or wear and tear. • If the mouse fails within the first two years from the purchase date under normal use, check the product warranty or contact the retailer where you purchased it for a possible replacement or repair under warranty.
